Putting drawers at the base is what separates this from a plain shelf unit. Whatever would otherwise pile up on the bottom shelf goes out of sight and the open shelving above stays readable. At 32cm deep it takes books front to back without projecting far into a room. Because the shelving is open you see the smoked colour on the sides of the case as well as across the fronts. Tall enough to want a wall of its own.
